Video: Our Journey to Foster Care

This past weekend was pretty special for us… we had a party to celebrate our becoming licensed for foster care! The planning for this party had been in the works for quite some time as we waited and waited to finally be licensed. Many of our friends came to our open house to remember the journey we’ve been on for the last year and a half, and celebrate what God has been doing in our lives. We’ll be posting some party pictures soon!

Jesse worked on a wonderful video than documents all the steps in the process that we had to complete to get to where we are now. We ran the video during the open house. I’m only posting the first half of the video, since the end of the video has pictures of what we’ve been up to since becoming parents (and we can’t publish pictures of “our” kids).

Hope you enjoy…

Congratulations on becoming foster parents!  How exciting!  Friends of ours (husband had a double lung transplant due to CF) are on the path to adoption and are so close.  Praying for God’s great blessing on you and the precious hearts you care for.

It’s hard not sharing pictures of your kids, huh?  We have 2 birth children and started the fost/adopt journey in 11/10.  We got our first placement 12/11.  He’s happy, and healthy.  This truly is an amazing journey that keeps your eyes on the Lord.

It is so hard not to share pictures! Especially since it’s so easy to get good ones of him. Congrats on your first placement.
