Our extra space is a spare/guest bedroom. Since we didn’t have this extra space in the apartment, this room sat empty for a while before we had our first overnight guests… Jesse’s parents.
I think this room is perfect for a guest room because it’s all the way at the end of the hallway, so it stays nice and separated for guests. The only bad thing is that it is directly over the garage so it’s pretty loud when the garage is opening or closing. We have even slept here a few times when the sheets on our bed were still in the dryer and I got too lazy to finish making the bed that night.
Other than the bed, all the furniture in this room is whatever has been discarded from other used rooms. When we have bought something nice to replace older hand-me-downs, the leftovers have ended up here. This room uses my old dresser from home, tables from the living room, the chair… but I think it all works. Besides, we don’t want people to stay too long – just kidding! Come stay with us any time.
