Flash Me Friday: Pantry Must-Haves

This week’s Flash Me Friday is your pantry must-haves. You can join the Flash Me Friday fun too, check out The Groettum Family blog and join in. Come on, you know you want to be nosy too!

Pantry foods

Here are a few of the items we always have in our pantry.  Pasta and sauce is a must!  It makes for such a quick and easy meal that we enjoy often.  Granola bars are the perfect snack.  I would bring one to work with me each day.  We would wait until they went buy-one-get-one-free and stock up with enough to last us until the next time they went on sale.  Jesse’s absolute must-have is tomato soup.  That’s the one thing we are never allowed to run out of.  And his new favorite is oreo cakesters.

BUT… since I found out that food allergies are a part of what was making me so sick all time, it has been a while since I have had any pantry foods.  I really don’t feel like I’m missing out too much though.  We have been really enjoying our fresh fruits and veggies.  Here is what we ate this morning along with a couple slices of bacon.Fruit

Flash Me Friday: Fall Decor

This week’s Flash Me Friday is fall decor. You can join the Flash Me Friday fun too, check out The Groettum Family blog and join in. Come on, you know you want to be nosy too!Welcome

Since we live in Florida, there isn’t really such thing as fall colors. So I like to bring in my own fall color. Good thing I happened to pull out my fall decorations last weekend so I could snap some pictures this morning. I don’t do too much, just a small color splash here and there.  Most of the colors in our house are fall-ish anyway, so a little extra fits in perfectly.

By the way, just in case you were wondering, our walls aren’t really as yellow as they look in my pictures.  They are a soft yellow, but the camera makes our house look neon!

I know that Jesse gets tired of my many fake plants and flowers, but I like them. I keep a cute fall centerpiece on the dining room table, and some fall flowers on both the end tables.

And then, I couldn’t decide if people use a table runner on a coffee table or not. It’s too long for our dining table, so I keep not having anywhere to put it every year. I finally realized it would fit the coffee table better. I think it works.

Flash Me Friday: Your View

This week’s Flash Me Friday is your view.  You can join the Flash Me Friday fun too, check out The Groettum Family blog and join in.  Come on, you know you want to be nosy too!

I took these pictures from the upstairs windows.  Here is the view out of the guest bedroom.  The guest bedroom and the office bedroom are both on the front of the house so they both get the street view.  But since the end of our street is a cul-de-sac, there is hardly any traffic and it is very quiet.  As you can see it is gloomy and rainy now, even though it was nice all the rest of the day today.Left front viewRight front view

This is our view out of the master bedroom at the back of the house.  I love the calmness and the privacy.

That’s about it for our views. Be sure to check out the other Flash Me Friday entries, and then show yours!
