I was born in Quebec, Canada, but grew up in southern California. We moved to sunny Florida when I was 15 years old. I completed my last three years of high school here, and then continued living at home while I attended the University of South Florida. I graduated from USF in May, 2006 with my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, minor in Marketing and Business Management.
I met my wonderful, loving husband, Jesse, in 2002 just as I was finishing up high school. We dated all through my years of college. Right after I finished college we got engaged, and then married four months later on October 21, 2006. Jesse is an amazingly optimistic person who, despite having cystic fibrosis, never lets anything get in the way of his goals. While running his own business, he managed to complete his bachelor’s degree and graduate from USF in May 2010.
Marriage has treated us both very well! We have been blessed by good health and challenged by many changes. I wish for 100 more years together!
I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, and being outside in the “fresh air,” and now… blogging! Now that we own our home we are slowly, but surely making it our own with paint and small home improvement projects. Ever since my food allergy diagnosis (wheat, soy and corn) I find myself in the kitchen way more than I used to be. I enjoy experimenting with fresh ingredients and finding new allergy-friendly meals that we can both enjoy. I hope you enjoy keeping up with what is going on in our lives.
