I’ve found that we save a lot of money by planning out our meals ahead of time. Not to mention that it makes week nights so much easier when we aren’t looking for what to make at the last minute. Plus I think it’s fun to check out what other people are making this week and find some new ideas to try.
This week I made soda pop chops from Comfy in the Kitchen… loved them! It’s such a creative recipe, I never would have thought to use soda as a marinade. I had to change around the ingredients just a little to suit my allergies. I used my no corn syrup soda and eliminated the soy sauce. The only adjustment I’ll make next time is to add salt, since I didn’t have the salt that would have been in the soy sauce. The best part about this recipe was how fancy the presentation looked with the caramelized onions on top. We will definitely have this again!
Here’s what I have planned for this week:
Monday: Bible study (We take turns bringing dinner for the group… no cooking for me!)
Tuesday: Buffalo Stir Fry (Things got switched around so I never made this last week)
Wednesday: Pork roast with butternut squash
Thursday: Paleo spaghetti (regular spaghetti noodles for Jesse)
Friday: Skillet chicken and veggies
