Changes

Kristinology has a great new look!

It was just time for a change. I started looking around on some sites to see what I wanted it to look like. I found this awesome site that explains how to do some of the effects that she uses on her site. She also has different paper backgrounds and buttons and such available for free download.

So, with the help of my own personal web designer, Jesse, we were able to come up with a new design that I am very happy with.  He put a lot of work into making it look just how I was thinking, and I think it was well worth the effort.

What do you think?

Flash Me Friday: Kitchen

July 2, 2010 in Filed Under: Flash Me Friday 4 Comments

This week’s Flash Me Friday is your kitchen. You can join the Flash Me Friday fun too, check out The Groettum Family blog and join in. Come on, you know you want to be nosy too!

Our kitchenHere is our cute, little kitchen. It’s kinda small, but I really like it that way now that we’ve gotten used to it. At first it was difficult at times when we were both working in the kitchen at the same time. But now I find it convenient when I’m cooking and everything is so close.

Those colorful canisters were the first thing I ever bought for my house.  I saw them in a magazine a long time ago, a few years before I moved out of my parents’ house.  I loved the colors and the different leaf patterns pressed into them.  I just had to have them, and those have now become the colors around the whole house.

As you can see, my handy stool is a very necessary kitchen accessory.  I’m fairly short, and I use it constantly to reach things in the tops of the cupboards.

I love that our kitchen is completely open.  It makes it easy to carry on conversations from the other rooms while finishing up making dinner.  And I like being able to see the TV or look outside while doing the dishes.Kitchen looking inKitchen looking out
