Here is our cute, little kitchen. It’s kinda small, but I really like it that way now that we’ve gotten used to it. At first it was difficult at times when we were both working in the kitchen at the same time. But now I find it convenient when I’m cooking and everything is so close.

Those colorful canisters were the first thing I ever bought for my house.  I saw them in a magazine a long time ago, a few years before I moved out of my parents’ house.  I loved the colors and the different leaf patterns pressed into them.  I just had to have them, and those have now become the colors around the whole house.

As you can see, my handy stool is a very necessary kitchen accessory.  I’m fairly short, and I use it constantly to reach things in the tops of the cupboards.

I love that our kitchen is completely open.  It makes it easy to carry on conversations from the other rooms while finishing up making dinner.  And I like being able to see the TV or look outside while doing the dishes.
